CORE4 Youth League Opportunities

The following positions are PAID positions. Work dates and hours will coincide with the youth league dates.

Gym Manager

Core 4 Youth Development League is a youth competitive league in Chamblee, Georgia that serves over 250 local youth athletes. Our 2018 Fall and Winter sessions are in need of additional staff to assist on game days and practices to help keep everything running smoothly.

Job Duties include (but may not be limited to):

  • Game day set-up (setting out scorebooks, setting up scoreboard/clock, training hired score and stat keepers, verifying hired staff attendance, etc.)

  • Being proficient in the chapter/league rules and being able to advise/settle disputes

  • Helping direct players and families to the courts

  • Post-game clean-up (straightening, picking up water bottles and trash, turning in items to lost and found, removing 8-foot rims, etc.)

  • Other duties as needed

Ideal candidates will be energetic, personable people who love being around sports and crowds. They will be able to problem solve on the fly and multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment. Candidate will also be 21 years+ with reliable transportation.

Our program is looking to contract one (1) staff members immediately. All employees will work at Core4, 2050 Will Ross Court Chamblee, GA 30341

Days: Friday-Sunday

Time: 16 hours/weekend

Job Type: Hourly

Salary: $20.00 /hour

Required experience:

  • Customer Service: 1 year

  • Basketball Coaching Experience

 



Recreation Aid (Scorekeeper)

Core 4 Youth Development League is a youth competitive league in Chamblee, Georgia that serves over 250 local youth athletes. Our 2018 Fall and Winter sessions are in need of additional staff to assist on game days to help keep everything running smoothly.

Job Duties include (but may not be limited to):

  • Gather and post scores in real-time

  • Responsible for timely communication with the Gym Manager

  • Verify and ensure the accuracy of data

  • Fill in the statistics at the scorer’s table for youth league games.

  • Writing in the correct basketball statistics at basketball games.

  • Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basketball knowledge strongly preferred.

  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and in possession of a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to quickly navigate and search the internet

  • Strong communication skills

  • Available to work weekends

Our program is looking to contract six (6) staff members immediately. All employees will work at Core4, 2050 Will Ross Court Chamblee, GA 30341

Days: Saturdays

Time: 2pm-6pm (this is a time block as times will vary according to day)

Salary: $10.00 /hour

 



Basketball Coaches (Head and Assistant)

We are looking for passionate, fun, well-rounded individuals who have the desire and eagerness to work with today’s youth in and athletic setting. Experienced recreational and competitive Basketball coaches are preferred but training provided for all participating. Opportunities available Friday-Sunday for practices and games. Must have prior basketball and coaching experience with a desire to advance in the area of coaching. 

The Position Starts: September 13, 2018 and will end on October 17, 2018.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: The coach will be responsible for overseeing competitive practices and games aimed at the development of each youth athlete assigned to their roster. Must have the ability to be physically active to demonstrate drills. Must be an effective time manager and planner to maximize the production of each practice. Must be organized with effective communication skills as the position requires consistent exposure to players and parents.

Required Qualifications/Expectations:

  • Clear background check

  • Prior coaching experience strongly preferred

  • Experience working with elementary and middle school aged youth

  • Ability to communicate, read and write and effective email

  • Ability to accept constructive feedback

  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative

  • Ability to be a team player adjusting to changes with ease while maintaining a positive demeanor

  • Ability to commit to all youth league dates

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required

Time Commitments:

  • Friday – 6:00-8:00pm

  • Saturday – 2:30-6:30pm

  • Sunday – 2:00-7:00pm
